Kenny Vasoli (The Starting Line) and Anthony Green (Circa Survive) did this pretty awesome cover of Bjork’s “Unravel” at the House of Vans a couple of weeks ago. Watch the video below and be sure to catch the rest of the night’s sets over at Stickam. While you’re at it, don’t forget to check out some photos from the kind folks over at Alternative Press. Rad.

Acoustic shenanigans

Sure we loaded up on a ton of crazy pit action at House of Vans over the summer, but winter is approaching and we thought we’d step it down a notch. If you’re in the New York area, come join us (and Alternative Press!) at the House of Vans on November 19th for a special unplugged performance with Anthony Green (Circa Survive), Kenny Vasoli (The Starting Line), and Vinnie Caruana (I Am The Avalanche).

You can RSVP for the show at the link below (It’s free!):

SXSW AP Showcase

It’s that time of year again! Music, interactive and film nerds all pile into Austin for the oh-so fabulous South x South West (SXSW) conference. Yours truly will be in attendance with the Vans crew and I think I can speak for all of us when I say that we can’t wait. I may or may not already be counting down the days.

Anyway, our friends at Alternative Press host a rad, all-ages and totally free showcase during SXSW. This year, you can check it out on Saturday, March 19th, across all three stages at Emo’s. With over 20 bands performing, everyone will have a reason to come out. And after seeing the crowd from last year, everyone will also have a reason to come out early.

See you there!

Gifting at SXSW

Check out who we caught up with when we did our massive gifting at SXSW:

Ninjasonik, Tumbledown, Hey Monday, The Cab, Zlam Dunk, Riverboat Gamblers, Rise Against, The Death Set, Shawn Fisher, Hill Valley, Conditions, Title Fight, Every Avenue and of course, Oliver Peck.

AP Showcase at SXSW

Saturday was a big day for us. We sponsored a stage with Alternative Press for their massive, free and, dare I say, amazing showcase at SXSW. I talked to some kids who were waiting until 3am to get in- and some camped out the night before. It may be one of the biggest things that happens during the festival because it’s free, all ages and on the weekend. Kids take this stuff seriously.

Take a look at the line up and you’ll see why:

Our stage featured Sum 41 as our headliners. Keeping in mind that I’ve never seen Sum 41 ever and that I’ve listened to them since 2003, this was a pretty big deal. To me at least. The set was so, so good. I cannot believe they are playing Warped, too. It will make my summer for sure. I snapped what pics I could while I was there- because I was kinda busy jumping around and singing. After they finished, Brandon and I took some shirts and sunglasses we had left over from the gifting suite and threw it off the stage. Those kids went rabid! I wish my camera was up there, but we had no idea it was going to be that intense.

Despite the cold, it was an awesome show!

SXSW Gifting sneak peak

If you’ve been following along via Twitter, then you are well aware that we’ve been giving stuff away to bands all day long. For those who don’t know, check it.

The Alternative Press showcase was today at SXSW and we sponsor our own stage as part of Emo’s. As a massive thank you, all of the bands playing the showcase had the chance to pick up some free Vans gear.

I wanted to give you a glance at what the place looked like before you get to see the epic video that will soon follow.

Of all this stuff, what do you think you’d want!?
