So, this is happening.
Chicago’s definitely got it going on this September. Riot Fest & Carnival just announced the first wave of bands for their 2012 September shindig. With Rise Against, Iggy and The Stooges, A Day To Remember, and Dropkick Murphys on the lineup, we’re pretty sure that someone’s been rooting through our record collections.
This is the first time that Riot Fest is expanding to an all-day, outdoor music event and carnival, and it’s all taking place on the grounds of Chicago’s beautiful Humboldt Park.
The event runs September 14th-16th, and with prices starting at $18 a day, this sounds like a definite road trip in the making.

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, you can pick up Dropkick Murphys’ live album Going Out In Style: Fenway Park Bonus Edition.
The CD comes out on Tuesday, but you can still snag some pretty rad pre-order bundles here. C’mon, you know that green marble vinyl is just begging to be put on display on your wall.

Our favorite Irish-punkers Dropkick Murphys are back in the states for their annual St. Patrick’s Day tour. Frank Turner will be hitting the stage as well, fresh off a supporting slot with our buddies in Social D. Kilts, pints, and a hearty dose of punk rock. That’s what St. Paddy’s Day is really about, right? Right.
Hit up dropkickmurphys.com for dates and locations. Tour starts tomorrow!

Dropkick Murphys have just confirmed the release of Going Out In Style: Fenway Park Bonus Edition CD, set for release on March 13th! Includes bonus audio disc, downloadable video of the entire concert at Fenway Park this past September + the complete story of Cornelius Larkin by best-selling author Michael Patrick MacDonald.
Don’t forget to catch them on tour in Europe and the US this winter and spring! All dates can be found at dropkickmurphys.com.
