Influential punk rockers Bad Religion have released a moving video for the new single, “Wrong Way Kids” from the group’s critically heralded album, The Dissent of Man. The song is a tribute to the band and their fan’s shared histories as rebellious yet durable outsiders.

The footage begins in present day with lead singer Greg Graffin offering a knowing message of hope for Bad Religion’s many fans:

Even though they’re misfits, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

A subsequent shot reveals a defiantly unconventional Graffin on stage with the band back in 1984 counting down the song intro. Check out the nonstop montage of found footage showing the band’s remarkable rise from teen rebels to international punk luminaries:

Last night was our first night in Austin for SXSW. Keeping in mind that I’ve never been before, I’m sticking close to everyone from Vans- espeically Kurt since we’re the music duo. Team Soto-Mink ftw!

We pick up all of our badges and caught up with our friends from Epitaph which is always a good time. Since the music section of SX didn’t start until the following day, I was surprised that we were already to some shows!

Our first was Motorhead. How’s that for an opening night? The place was packed and the show kicked ass. Of course.

Afterward, Kurt and I spent the rest of the night at Red 7. Our friends True Widow were on the stage when we got there. Mike Herrera’s newest project Tumbledown played not too long after. Holy. Crap. So good! Oliver Peck even jumped on stage to sing a little.

But after Tumbledown was when it got really crazy. Mike Herrera of MXPX, Zach Blair of Rise Against, Luke Abbey from Gorilla Biscuits, members from Riverboat Gamblers and Scott Renyolds of All banded together to play an entire Descendants cover set. Yes, you read that correctly. The crowd was gnarly! I got thrashed around a bit while taking some footage for you guys, but it’s all in the name of reporting, music and freaking punk rock. Enjoy!

Not too long ago, we hit you with our spring releases for some new music shoes.

Today we are proud to say we got our Rise Against merch available online! We’ve twisted the band’s album art with some bold colors and thrown it on our classic Slip-On. Oh yeah- and we gave you a matching tee, too.

In case you missed it, last year was the Vans Warped Tour’s 15th Anniversary. We celebrated with a crazy know at Club Nokia in Los Angeles full of Warped legends. The show was filmed, spliced together with some great interviews and released in theaters for a one-night-only showing in September.

The Warped theater experience was such a success, it’s now coming to DVD and BluRay! The event features performances from Bad Religion, NOFX, Katy Perry, The All-American Rejects, Ozomatli, Rise Against, Ice-T and Body Count, The Aggrolites, Decaydance All Stars, Underoath, Pennywise and video apperances by Blink 182 and 3OH!3. It hits stores on March 30.

Dude, do we make the best shoes or what?

This spring, we’re happy to announce 2 new pairs of Kiss Vans and a super new and super awesome Rise Against slip-on!



Our new Kiss shoes hark back to the “Hotter Than Hell” album artwork and will be available in a SK8-Hi and our classic Slip-On. The hottest part is that sick yellow lining and those purple laces.

The Rise Against Slip-On features the same figure from the “Appeal To Reason” album thrown into a Andy Warhol-ish rendition. No doubt these are going to hit it big this year.
