Our friends in Set Your Goals just played their last scheduled show of the summer (and currently the year, for that matter!) at the House of Blues in Hollywood last night. After a massive 30 hour drive and nearly missing their Anaheim date the night before, they were ready to destroy the stage like no other, stomping through “Mutiny” and “Gaia Bleeds” between new tracks, old favorites, and many heartfelt thanks to MxPx, who were celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band.

Pop on over to our Flickr for more shots of Set Your Goals, as well as a few from the birthday boys in MxPx!

The calendars have just flipped over to June, meaning the Vans Warped Tour is only a couple of weeks away. We decided to take a break from all of our busy summer planning to look back on some of last year’s highlights. There’s tons more shots on our Flickr too. What were some of your favorite bands from last summer?

Don’t miss Warped Tour in your city! And make sure to follow this year’s pit reporter, Amy, for all the day-to-day updates.

Just Checking In From Warped Tour

I’ve been hanging out, taking photos and trying to relive my days on the Vans Warped Tour over at vans.com/warpedtourblog. I’ve checked out a bunch of different kinds of bands and been making lots of new friends, including the dudes in Big D & the Kids Table. Its refreshing to see a band that works from day to night promoting themselves and getting the word out. You gotta work for it or else it won’t mean as much. Be prepared to see more from them and other hard working bands for the next 5 weeks. Cool? Cool.
