You ain’t never seen a cruise like this. If the Mayhem Festival this summer just isn’t enough heavy rock for your body to handle, the same folks are ready to throw you out on a 3-day cruise from Florida to the Bahamas. Kinda like Titanic, if the ship was overrun with bands like Anthrax and Machine Head. Also, you won’t sink. And the Titanic wasn’t headed to the Bahamas. Okay, nevermind, not like Titanic at all. But you’re on a boat, so are some of the guys from Slipknot, and so is Kevin Lyman.
The first annual Mayhem Cruise sets sail from Port of Miami, FL on December 7th, 2012 and returns on December 10th. Tickets are on sale now, with packages starting at $699. Head on over to mayhemcruise.com for all the details and to purchase your tickets before they’re gone.
You’ll flat out demolish everyone else’s stories about what they did on their winter vacations.

This summer is pretty much exploding with one ridiculously awesome tour after another. For the metalheads in the room, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is the place to be. No, seriously. From Slayer and Slipknot, to Anthrax and The Devil Wears Prada, amongst so many others.
Our minds have been sufficiently blown, and the tour doesn’t even kick off for another two months.
Lucky for all of us, tickets are now on sale. Get ‘em while they’re hot!

Makin’ waves in Australia
Who’s already seen the lineup for next year’s Soundwave Festival in Australia? Holy snap. A bunch of our favorite bands will be headed down under, and System of a Down and Slipknot are headlining all the madness! Tickets go on sale Thurs 10/20 at 9am.

Tribute to Slipknot’s Paul Gray

As everyone who follows any alternative music must already know, last week the world lost 38-year-old Slipknot bassist Paul Gray at a hotel in Urbandale, Iowa. The cause of death remains unconfirmed.
Though Slipknot is currently on hiatus, the death came as a shock to all. Gray’s other project Hail! will continue a planned tour after recruiting Megadeth’s former bassist, James Lomenzo.
The video below was just released as a tribute to Gray and his life, both personally and with the band. It shows his family, performance footage, his interviews and more:
