Is it May 8th yet? No? I’m just going to crawl back under the covers and you can wake me up next Tuesday with the gritty punk rock goodness that is OFF!. Their new, self-titled record hits stores on the 8th, pummeling through 16 songs in 16 minutes. Who needs all those three minute radio singles anyway? Nah, man. OFF! know how to get things done in a third of the time.
It wouldn’t be a proper album release without some shows to rage through all those brand new tracks. Some shows are almost sold out, so check out the dates above and get those tickets in advance!

Someone pull out the birthday cake, because X are celebrating a big 3-5 this year. I haven’t even been alive for 35 years. If they’re still owning the stage after all this time, the least you can do is nab a ticket when they hit the road. I’ll even bring the cake and candles. Get in on the action as X travels up the west coast starting this weekend, including a slot on Los Lobos’ Cinco De Mayo Festival in LA on Saturday. This sounds like our kind of partaaaay!

Oh summer, what are we going to do with you? Maybe we’ll dress ourselves up like some mummies and join the Man Man dudes on tour. Toilet paper garments are the latest rage in fashion, didn’t you know? It might make it a little difficult to dance along, but that’s all part of the fun.
The rock-blues-pop inspired band are grooving their way down the east coast this June, awaiting all your beautifully mummified selves:

Europe & US:

If Thee Oh Sees wanted to start a riot, they could. That’s how good their shows are. In fact, the amount of fun you will have at their live show is guaranteed to rival the amount of love you already have for their studio recorded albums. Their mix of psychedelic  and lo-fi garage cacophony is wrapped up in a quirkiness that is distinctly their own. Drop this on a stage along with the band’s infectious energy, and you’ve got yourself a good night, and possibly a black-eye.

Their music video for “Meat Step Lively” provides a pretty accurate depiction of what it’s like to attend their show, just imagine you had three-framed looped vision as well.

They’re playing their last small venue show (in their hometown of San Francisco on May 16), before hitting up all points of the Europe and the US and whipping up a storm with the masses at a music festival near you:

This summer is pretty much exploding with one ridiculously awesome tour after another. For the metalheads in the room, the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is the place to be. No, seriously. From Slayer and Slipknot, to Anthrax and The Devil Wears Prada, amongst so many others.
Our minds have been sufficiently blown, and the tour doesn’t even kick off for another two months.
Lucky for all of us, tickets are now on sale. Get ‘em while they’re hot!
